What were your expectations before you went in the Tunnel of Oppression?

It was pretty much what I expected, screaming actors making you feel uncomfortable. I was a little worried about having to interact too much, but it was fine. I'm glad I could be a participant without having to take on a complex "roll" persay. Thanks!
Thia was an immunization size dose of what really is going on. A thumbnail view of what it is like to be on the receiving end of real life oppression. When you are dishing out oppression it's nothing, when you are on the receiving end of it it is devastating. The perspective of whatis right is hugely different/ I think law enforcers and legal representatives should experience the tunnel of oppression as recipients rather than dispensers. Just for perspective.
I thought it would be a walk through of scenes that we could observe and not have to be in them. It was surprising when they pulled you in. At first I didn't like it but after thiinking about it, I think it made me think more about the issues so I am glad it was that way.
I thought the Tunnel of Oppression was a joke. The only thing I liked was the rape deal, because that does actually happen. Reference the Middle Eastern Airlines. It is not like that on our airplanes. I fly a lot and there are tons of middle easterners that do not run into problems. The ones that have the problems are the ones that are intentially bringing attention to themselves by their own actions. The ICE raids as well were a joke. When ICE does a raid, it is not that dramatic and the illegal aliens are the ones who are breaking the law in the first place. It is a damn shame that the Tunnel of Oppression boils down to everything being the white heterosexual male's fault. People need to look within themselves to get out of their "oppression," Booker T Washington is a great example of someone rising out of oppression and making something of himself without blaming everyone else for the problems of the world.
The Tunnel was not a joke. Racial profiling in our airports is a reality. Why does my friend from Uzbekistan receive the "random" high security check EVERY time he flies? Is 10 times still "random"? And the ICE raids... ask someone who has been raided if the Tunnel was too drastic. The video you saw when you first entered the scene was from the perspective of the media. The truth is, Tunnel infilitrated some peoples comfort zone but they were priviledged enough to walk away and pass judgement on what happened to them. Many people on this planet are not so priviledged. No, they live with this extreme discomfort and oppression EVERY day with no escape. Try filtering that through your imgination as a possible reality for yourself. If you think it is impossible for the oppression felt in the Tunnel to be real in your life, what ever gave you the right to think so??
The tunnel was far from a joke. I find it very interesting that the only ones who feel it was a joke, were the white anglo males. What these males are suffering from is denial. These people see more reality in thier wrestling tv shows. It is really quite sad. They deserve our pity
